A quick sketch from my walk along the Salford Greenway. It runs along the Bridgewater Canal in Manchester. I like the pattern of the sky, bright blue behind the dark leaves of the trees and I might work this up in colour. It’s a real autumnal sight when the sunlight dapples through the trees but I suspect will be very hard to capture!
This is based on a scientific diagram showing “Momentum and spin in evanescent waves” I am not sure what it’s all about but I liked the image.
I think this baby sketch is more successful it captures more of the snuggliness of babies. I think maybe using a series if circles to start helped. I’ll keep persevering!
Babies are really hard to draw even when strapped into a chair. It’s hard to capture those cute little features they seem to end up looking creepy and old! Anyway here is an attempt.
One of the things I like about Manchester are the red brick houses, even on a rainy day the red bricks of the terraces provide a bit of colour and in autumn blend in against the slate grey sky and the fading greens and burnt reds of the trees.
Baby we need to talk about lie-ins.
In estate agent terms my home is conveniently located to all major traffic routes. In real terms this means the M60 practically runs through my back garden. However there is something soothing about watching trucks pass by on a rainy day.
