Been going through some old sketchbooks whilst listening to Paul Simon’s Graceland album. Had the idea to combine some of the sketches with lyrics. Used the sketch app on my phone.

Sunday Morning Art Club
Drawing, painting, Sketches, UncategorizedWell it’s less of a club really and more of an attempt to distract Clara with art materials so I can sketch. Quite pleased with this, Clara looks much older than 21 months but feel like I’m getting to grips with the watercolour. Still not ready to let go of the pen for defining lines but I’ll keep practicing, maybe I can persuade her Dad to pose for a portrait next. Although Clara steals my thunder with her abstract self portrait!

As the other well known spiritual guru (My Dad) said the secret to a successful marriage is separate sheds. Same thing really just not as poetic. We don’t have sheds but art corner and guitar corner serve us well!

UncategorizedTonight’s theme at sketchclub was home. I did a sketch from memory of my old family home, mealtimes were very important and usually observed by our two ginger tom cats “the chubby brothers.” I imagine that for them it was like watching feeding time at the human zoo!
